6th Annual Tough Mudder Run for Sarah Kilby
6th Annual Tough Mudder Run for Sarah Kilby is moving to Pennsylvania this year.
Dear Family and Friends,
Time continually rolls on and another year has flown by. My family writes you this letter to once again ask you for your generous tax-exempt donation to help Sarah and the Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome Foundation. Sarah has been living with this non-curable (right now) syndrome her whole life. She’s the toughest person I’ve ever met. To say it changed our lives is an understatement. Should you wish to read more about SDS please read more information on the SDSF website.
This year, on May 21st, we will be traveling back to beautiful Chester County, PA to run the rolling hills of my youth. It is some of the prettiest scenery you can imagine and all our friends and family are welcome to run it with me. You are all near and dear to our hearts. We recognize everyone has struggles and regular challenges while the economic times are still tough. If you are able to donate, it would truly help the small, but extremely dedicated SDSF group. Every year technology makes new breakthroughs. Recently new high-powered imaging techniques have allowed researchers to link the origins of SDS. All donations, big and small help fund research like this to find a cure. Please help me reach my goal of $15,000 for SDSF.
Sarah is a happy, soon-to-be 8th grader. She continues to impress us all with her toughness, smiles and a great sense of humor. She certainly is looking forward to a summer filled with beach trips, seeing family and friends and playing in the neighborhood. We want Sarah to live a long and happy life. We are hoping for a “cure for the future”. This run is for our Sarah.
All our love,
Dan, Kate, Sarah and Leah Kilby
