Camp Boggy Creek

Orlando, FL

Website: https://www.boggycreek.org/

Founded in 1996 by actor Paul Newman and General H. Norman Schwarzkopf, Camp Boggy Creek was built on a simple yet powerful idea: every child, no matter their illness, deserves to experience the magic of camp. We provide a life-changing experience where children with serious medical conditions can find a deep sense of belonging and empowerment.

Our 232-acre, state-of-the-art facility in Eustis, Florida, is where this transformation happens. Once children pass through our gates, the daily limitations they live with disappear. Here, they can simply focus on having fun and making friendships, all while receiving top-tier medical care. And thanks to our generous supporters, this entire experience is provided free of cost to every camper and their family.

Camp Korey is named in honor of Korey Rose, a vibrant and compassionate teenager who lived with bone cancer and inspired all who knew him. In 2005, his father, Tim Rose, along with their family, founded Camp Korey to celebrate Korey’s legacy and create a place of joy, connection, and healing for children and families facing life-altering medical conditions.

Flying Horse Farms

Mt. Gilead, OH

Website: https://flyinghorsefarms.org/

Flying Horse Farms makes it possible for children with serious illnesses to heal, grow, and thrive.  We start by making sure kids are medically, physically, and emotionally safe at camp, so they can focus on fun. We understand that children with serious illnesses have special needs from diets to devices. Addressing those needs comes before anything else.

We also make sure they’re mentally and emotionally safe because that’s what builds confidence. Kids at Flying Horse Farms get the opportunity to freely explore interests and passions in a way they’ve never experienced, and get psychosocial, trauma informed support from on-site child life specialists.

Hole in the Wall Gang

Connecticut & Maryland

Website: https://www.holeinthewallgang.org/

We are kids: We are not defined by our illnesses, and we certainly don’t let them slow us down. We are kids like every other – looking for fun, friendship and the chance to “raise a little hell.” We find that through a variety of Hole in the Wall programs at Camp and beyond.

We are campers: We are artists, swimmers, horseback riders, song-singers and bushy-tail-shakers. We love to laugh and create a little mischief with our new friends, while finding out together that we are capable of so much more than we ever imagined.

North Star Ranch

Pinckney, MI

Website: https://www.northstarreach.org/camp-information/

North Star Reach provides life-changing, year-round programs (at camp and remotely) for children with serious health challenges and their families, free of charge. Children living with chronic and life-threatening medical conditions like heart disease, blood disorders and epilepsy miss out on formative childhood experiences due to frequent hospital and doctor visits. They also face the stigma often associated with their illness, which can make socializing with peers challenging. As a result, they often feel left out and develop low self-esteem and a diminished sense of possibility.

At North Star Reach, kids with serious illnesses can reclaim their childhood as they embark on confidence-building adventures in a fun, medically sound environment. They also connect with other kids facing similar health challenges and feel a sense of normalcy and belonging, often for the first time in their lives.

Round Up River Ranch

Gypsum, CO

Website: https://roundupriverranch.org/

We provide FREE, year-round camp experiences for children with life-altering diagnoses and their families – where kids enjoy the pure joy of being a kid. Campers can take a true vacation from being “a patient” and get back to the fun of being a child.

Roundup River Ranch offers children with life-altering diagnoses, and their families, opportunities to embrace joy, create connection, foster independence, and build hope through free, medically-supported camp programs.

Where illness and medical complexities take a backseat to ordinary, and extraordinary childhood experiences.

The Painted Turtle

Lake Hughes, CA

Website: https://www.thepaintedturtle.org/

We believe all children should be able to experience the joys of childhood and the profound, life-long impact of camp. The Painted Turtle staff, volunteers, Board of Directors, and supporters work year-round to give children with serious medical conditions the chance just to be kids in a safe and inclusive environment. Thousands of campers and family members come together each year to sing, dance, laugh, grow and discover their potential in a community of people who have shared experiences.

The Painted Turtle began as a dream in 1999 when Paul Newman and Page Adler, along with a group of other dedicated individuals, co-founded The Painted Turtle to let kids with medical conditions just be kids. Through the ongoing commitment of these individuals, many of whom sit on our board today, the dream of The Painted Turtle became a reality. Located just outside of Los Angeles in Lake Hughes, California, The Painted Turtle has served tens of thousands of children and families since opening in 2004.

Set in the scenic rolling hills of Randleman, North Carolina, Victory Junction is more than a camp – it’s a transformative experience. Here, kids are free to be themselves, build lasting friendships, and create memories that shape how they see the world.
